Antisocial Disorder Jeffrey Dahmer
Live Earth
The rock will save us. Maybe. As stressed by the Guardian (article then taken up in Italy by Liberation) is not all that glitters is gold. Here are a couple of conotrosensi of the event organized last weekend by Al Gore: First
. The thousands of tons of greenhouse gases that are produced by the event (which is why U2's Bono had decided not to participate). According
. The sponsor: Chevrolet, which as we all know produces electrical and non-polluting SUVs.
Third. The promoter of Live Earth, Al Gore. It's not that everything was a big publicity stunt before the announcement of his condidatura the White House? Let's hope not, otherwise we will feel once again teased ...

* Opole: an Italian anomaly
tangentopoli Before then Calciopoli, vallettopoli ... and so on and so forth. But how can we talk about universitopoli and concorsopoli after the beautiful episode of W Italy direct the program of good Riccardo Iacona. Who was the lost do not worry: All the episodes can be seen here . To look at, just to be on the subject, the report also W research, also edited by Iacobucci.
And then what to say, after watching and reading all these things we have to thank the University Italian, however, for having provided a good (hopefully) preparation. And then go away.

Numb3rs and Monty Hall
Last night I was watching an episode of Numb3rs (on Rai Due on Sunday evening). For those not familiar, Numb3rs is a show where the protagonists solve the police cases mainly with the use of mathematics and physics. In my humble opinion there are a lot of situations you pull a little 'to the limit that certainly does not help to remove aura of magic and impossibility that surrounds the man of science and science in general-and unfortunately is so widespread among the people. But we must say that there are also interesting ideas. Look for example this explanation of the Monty Hall problem :
I only found this version in English. For those interested, the episode was called "Manhunt" (orig.: "Man Hunt"), Series 1, episode 13.
